Subject: CAD citizenship
We will be applying for our Canadian citizenship next year upon completing 1095 days as permanent residents. My husband travels on work frequently with a Canadian company. I was told that his absence would be counted as physical presence in Canada since the employer is Canadian. However, I havent been able to see anything on the website stating this. Does anyone have any more information on this? Pls advise.

That rule applies to keep your permanent resident status, not to apply for CAD citizenship.

When calculating your eligibility for citizenship, you must subtract your absences from Canada. Only a citizenship judge can determine if you meet the residence requirements if you apply with fewer than 1,095 days of physical presence.

If you apply with fewer than 1,095 days of presence in Canada, a citizenship judge will evaluate the nature of your residence in Canada. You will be asked to complete a residence questionnaire and provide evidence that establishes residence in Canada, and you might be asked to appear in person before a citizenship judge. When you apply with fewer than 1,095 days of presence in Canada, your application will take longer to process and may be refused by the citizenship judge.

Q11: I travel often because of my work (truck driver, employee for an airline company, etc.). Do I have to declare those absences?

A11: Yes. All absences from Canada, regardless of the reason, must be declared. The only trips you do not have to declare are those where you left and came back to Canada on the same day.

Edu is 100% Correct.

This is a common mistake many immigrants do.

Keeping PR status and elgibility for citizenship are entirely different.

You still may skip the physical stay requirements for the citizenship, however, that will be decided by a citizenship judge and not very common.
