PRRA and fear of deportation

Subject: PRRA and fear of deportation
  Hi,

here´s my story. I filed refugee claim back in 2005 and got refused on my hearing last year, needles to say that it took ages to finally present my case. Meanwhile, at the beginning of 2006, I got married and everything was going my way. We (I) were very confident to win the case and I would obtain PR. However, this is not the case. In order for me to stay here my wife had filed an inland spousal sponsorship for me in late 2008. Now the process is still at the first stage, and recently I have been asked from the CBSA to report to their office every month, which I am doing so. However my wife and I had some serious marital problems lately and we are separated for the past two months. CBSA doesn´t know this, not that they ever asked. The sponsorship is still in place.
Now I am aware that she can cancel the sponsorship at any time and it seems this is bound to happen. How do I legally prepare for this and what would be the best course of action? I know that I have an option of submitting an PRRA, but my questions really are:

1. How much time do I have from her cancelling the sponsorship to the point when CBSA will contact me for removal?
2. Do I even bother submitting PRRA?
3. If I submitt PRRA how much time do I have IN REALITY untill I would actually get deported?
4. And lastly, what if I ignore the whole damn situation and stay low?

Another question is, I presume but am not sure that I have a valid open permit now, if she does cancel evthg would my WP also get revoked?

Thanks

Morning Mel

Why does question five not appear?

5. Should I say "I´m really sorry" and make up with my current wife? DAH

*******************
1. No time frame but she has to know how to cancel the undertaking/sponsorship first.

2. Everyone submits a PRRA and if you have NEW evidence it could take another 3 1/2 years to render a decision.

3. No one knows.

4. Sooner or later they will find you put you in detention until they get a travel document and that could take considerable time then they will put you on a plane. UNDERSTAND!!!

Work Permits are valid until you fail your PRRA you just have to pay the $150.00

*************

Now will you say SORRY????

I´ve tried Roy I´ve tried, but this time she´s really not coming back. We´ve tried evthg before..marriage counselling, individual...etc. Didn´t work. I made a pretty big mess this time and it seems I will have to live with the consequences.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

To QC:
I don´t know why they asked me that. I never faulted. I guess the new law. They wanna keep track of all removal-ready immigrants so they don´t slip away when it´s time to board the plane i guess. I dunno. But it kinda doesn´t make sense, because if somebody really wants to avoid deportation they´ll do it anyways. If you ask me, just a waste of immigrants time and taxpayers money. I think they´re playing the psychological card on the immigrant, you know, trying to intimidate you with all that legal stuff so you don´t even think about not showing up at the airport and playing the "catch me if you can" game. lol

I'm doomed (in reply to: PRRA and fear of deportation)
Well, my wife has cancelled all the papers. I just received a letter from CIC. I am hoping though to reconcile with her in the near future, and if we do so, is there any chance that she can reverse her decision with the CIC??? So we don´t have apply all over again?? What can I expect from all this from CIC or CBSA? I´m so misearable right now.

ROY, please HELP!

Question of my own! (in reply to: PRRA and fear of deportation)
Hi, sorry I don`t have all the answers for you. I only know that to cancel a sponsorship is extremely easy. Your wife just has to send a letter to immigration saying to cancel and you will get your rejection letter within a week.

Now here is my question... Ok so I married this crazy asshole and was sponsoring him. I cancelled the sponsorship this month and he got a denial letter yesterday. Well needless to say he is going crazy. The thing is that the letter didn`t say "you are deported" it said "Please leave the country immediatly or you will be persecuted". So this crazy man is planning on ignoring the letter. I already called my local police and there is nothing that they´ll do. My question is: what will happen if he disregards the letter??

Thanks.

Anyone can apply for anything and I can apply to have the Russians take me to the space station with my red nose but....

I play poker but not the High Stakes Poker (Guy Liberte) sp plays with the big guys.

Yeah Mel come and pay me for a H&C application, put the money on the desk let me take care of everything, relax and smile.

I can´t hold a carrot in front of your nose and get you to do tricks when it is obvious!

Your toast --- sorry Mel.
