Subject: Living in Quebec with Canadian permanent residence
Hi there,

I have a Canadian permanent residence. Can I move and live in Quebec with the Canadian permanent residence? If yes, is there any form I should fill in?

Thanks for your help.

Kamel

Thanks for your quick response. I think I didn´t ask my question as I should have done. I didn´t mean live in Canada for a while and then move to Quebec, but go from the U.S to Quebec with the Canadian permanent residence without entering Canada.

Thanks again for your help.

lolllllll That s funny..(QC is a part of canada isn it_

Well the answer is clear and saw cases like yours:

If you have a PR visa Without CSQ and you want to anter through a quebec port of entry , CBSA will not validate your Visa , they will give you two choises:
1- they send you to imigration QUEBEC to apply for csq and comeback to airport for visa validation.
2-Entering from another port of entry

BUT

if you anter from another port of entry and you come to quebec after ,you can live and work in quebec (sin card is Canadian service) but you will have no right to any provincial service , health care, free school for kids....it takes CSQ for that

When you enter as pr and you apply for CSQ in montreal , saint jaques street quebec immigration office , it takes 15 days to get it.

Hi,

I´m Canadian Permanent Resident, I´m living in Gatineau (QC) since I arrived (75 days). I don´t have CSQ (I applied under Federal Skilled Worker), Can I apply for the Certificat de Sélection du Québec?

What can I do for apply for CSQ?

Thank you for your kind cooperation.

wants to live in montreal, quebec (in reply to: Living in Quebec with Canadian permanent residence)
We applied for a permanent residence in canada. We placed edmonton in our application as our preffered place. If our visas would be approved and we´ll change our mind not to proceed to edmonton but in montreal. Is it possible?

the majority of the information in this thread is wrong.

you can LAND anywhere in Canada you like. Quebec is part of Canada - you don´t need any additional permits as a PR to live or work in Quebec. The only time you are required to go where you have specified is if you have applied as a Provincial Nominee. (you would know if you have)
