| Subject: Convert Visitor Visa to Study Permit |
Hi Guys,
Is is possible to convert Tourist visa into Study permit. I have niece and she is on visitor visa and we want her to study her in public schools for 3 years. She will go in 10 grade.
Is it possible to convert to STUDY PERMIT.

NO not legally because a visitor visa or a student permit must be applied for outside of Canada. Regulation 11 (2)
Can a child go to school in Canada without a student permit YES
Most major centers put the student first and the issue of immigration last. Most school boards will want to see some form of custody and the odd ones will want to see an application in process.
