Subject: I am happy, but then..
  Hello everyone,
I am very excited to complete my SW immigration application. Last week I have received my shinning visa along with the Confirmation of PR form. I was very excited and was planning to land this week end. However, I found a mistake on the form. My country of citizenship was mistaken for my country of birth. I have notified cic by email. But no reply so far. Is any one experienced with mistakes on CPR ? I saw on the internet that there is a possibility to land and amend the error with immigration when landing. I am looking for suggestion from experts. I can wait for a corrected CPR if necessary, heck I´ve waited 14 months for the process, i can wait a couple more weeks. But I don´t want to waste time either if not necessary, I have interviews lined up in Canada.

Thanks everybody and see you in beautiful Canada...

Dont bother yourself and waste your time .It could take forever to correct this prior to re-issue your visa . Go ahead and land and notify the officer about the error and make sure you have noticed this error while in plane ;)))

This is exactly what happened to me (UK birth, US citizenship, COPR said US birth). At that time, I emailed the Detroit consulate, who advised (as responder also above) not to worry. COPR would remain valid, and upon landing the imigration officer will change Place of Birth to correct value in the online database, which is what smoothly happened.

Thanks for your response. I just got a response back from the consulate. They advised me to send CPR and Passport back for correction. I will FedEx it on Monday. Hopefully, it won´t take too long as they also asked for the passport. Good to know hear from you all.
