| Subject: Only Provinsional File Number recieved |
guys,
i have applied in may last and till now only received Provisional FILE NUMBER. What is this? i can´t check the file status with this number though it starts with bXXX-XXXX-XX.
guys, do you have idea whether they will send the FILE or not/process or not?

I applied in June 2008 and I received a file number that starts with B. I get to check the progress of my application in eCAs. The processing started July 8. Dont include the dash. And make sure you correctly identify Immigrant File Number. By the way, I already have a second notice which I received early this month advising me to file for full application

hi,
i have applied with full documents in May and they sent me an letter acknowledging that my application is recieved and ok. But, they say it´s your PROVISIONAL FILE NUMBER and once we start processing, we will send you another letter. I do not what they mean another letter. The file number looks what others are getting, but after that I have not received any other letter since May.
And, when i check online for PROCESSING status, it doesn´t either show anything too.
any clue?

Congratulations in receiving the second notice... be detailed in submitting the supporting documents they are asking you...
Question... when you submitted your application the 38 priority occupations wasnt released yet... were you able to identify the correct NOC code as per the 38 priority occupations OR you identified a different code and they accept it based on your job description/duties?

applied from within Canada to Buffalo office and studying as graduate student. But, this Provisional FILE NUMBER doesn´t work and show any status online?
do anyone know when they will make it online or send actual FILE NUMBER?
