Hello,
I am landing soon and settling in the GTA. I will appreciate if anybody can help with regards to the following questions.
1) What is the best way to bring the required funds. I have a bank account from my Country and can bring either a bank cheque or travelers cheque. Will they accept a foreign bank´s cheque at the Port of Entry ?
2) I am trying to look for a temporary housing in GTA. I am looking for an apartment in a rental community, I think its safer for a start. What is s best place to find these places. I´ve tried www.myhood.ca, www.torontorent.com, www.apartmentcorner.com and www.rentmaps.ca
Are there any other site worth taking a look.
3) Regarding jobs, I have already had some interesting contact trough job sites with companies looking for civil engineers but any kind of help will be appreciated.
Finally, I will welcome anything a new comer needs to know bout Canada and Ontario. I have lived in the US for 6 years and I am thinking the 2 countries should be pretty similar but I´ve never been to Canada.
