Subject: How will FSW applcns before Feb 27/08 be evaluated
In the new immigration regulations, FSW applicants (retroactive to applications received on or after Feb 27/08) must satisfy one of the ff criteria:

*They must have at least one year of continuous full-time or equivalent paid work experience in the last 10 years in one of 38 qualifying occupations that are in high demand in Canada; OR
*They must have an offer of Arranged Employment in Canada; OR
*They must have been legally residing in Canada for at least one year as a temporary foreign worker or an international student.

What happens to applications received before Feb. 27/08 that satisfy one of those criteria? Do they get fast-tracked - i.e., pulled out and processed ahead of others that do not satisfy the above criteria? Or do they still have to wait in the long queue for their turn while earlier FSW applications that do not satify the above criteria are processed?

Should FSW applicants that satisfy one of the above criteria contact the embassy/consulate to provide proof that they satisfy one of the above criteria?
