I am applyting for Permanent Residence with Canada as a skilled worker. Pls let me know if I need to take the Academic or the General Training test for this purpose?
I am an Indian citizen on L1 visa in the US. I have had 16 years of education in english medium throughout. Would this test be easy on me or do you advise to purchase training materials?

I suggest learn online via internet and prepare for the test. You need to appear in the General training IELTS and it should be easy for you. Following are few links for preparation:

It is also not a bad idea if you enroll in a preparation class and take general guidelines in wrtiting module to avoid common mistakes. Make use of internet instead of purchasing training materials, it will cost you less. Good Luck.

Academic is better tan General so you should be fine.
