Subject: Important...Canada Immigration Visa Stamping
Right now I am in US on H1B visa with my family. I am expecting a call from CHC in Mar 2009 for Visa stamping. I heard that I have to go to INDIA for atleast 2 months as CHC needs 2 months for PP stamping. Visiting INDIA for 2 months is not possible being in USA on H1B job.

Please advise on the below point:
--------------------------------------------

(a). I have applied thru some consultant in india..can they help in collecting the passport in person from here in USA.

(b) If my wife is pregnant during the Medical test.. will it be considered for Medicals. What consideration will be there (please..please explain)

(c) During the period our passports are in CHC, New Delhi...Can i change job here in USA. If Yes then do H1 transfer process needs the original passports.

(just a query ... right now there is no plan to do this ...:))

Or if during the period my passports are with CHC,ND. If US economy becomes so BAD that I have to leave USA(worst case). What will be I doing in that case...As I cann´t leave US without my passports....

Really need advise on this.

(e) Medical are a simple process or its lengthy one.. where can i find addresses of Doctors doing MEDICAL in USA for CaNADA IMMIGRATION...

THANK A TON..in Advance.......to everyone...for having a look

No need to leave the US. Send the passports to India to your relatives and ask them to send them to CHC once they receive the letter of passport request. CHC in India should return all the stamped passports to your relatives.

- CHC send the passports (and letter of passport request) to the mailing address on your profile. Therefore, make sure you have your relative address.

As long as in the US, you may need the passport when you renew your visa.otherwise you don´t need it.

b) you (principal applicant) land before the baby is born then everything is fine, if you think you cannot land before the baby is born then do not send your passport for visa stamping

Your wife being pregnant during medical is of no concern to CIC. However, if you did not do the X-ray cause of your wife being pregnant then your wife has to wait for the X-ray and the entire file is put on hold which means they cannot issue the visa to you or your wife until all the medical results are in.

c) During an emergency you can always ask for CHC to return your passport.

e) Addresses of doctors can be found on www.cic.gc.ca (designanted medical practitoner) and will also be mailed to you in your medical request letter.

Thanks Samm for giving the deep thought to my queries. Yes your replies has raised another a few queries for me:

(b)...If Me and my families VISA are stamped and returned to me while I am in US and my baby is bron in USA...Then How my landing process will take place. Will I have to apply for New baby immigration from scratch OR how the CHC will consider this.

(c) Do you mean to say that we should plan baby once our Medical are done. So that Our 3 member families Medicals are with CHC.

(e)... Is any doctor can solve my all these queries..

Please ...Please reply as your replies are opening the windows of my near future action and will play a vital role in near future...

b) As you may already know, you are required to inform CIC any change in family composition before you land. This is done so that medical, background and security checks on all the family members can be conducted.

You only become a PR once you perform the landing, PR visa allows you to do the landing.

Once PR (Immigrant) visa is stamped, you cannot add anyone to the immigration application. Thus, if you get your PR visa stamped and do not do the landing before the baby is born, you will have to submit your passport for visa cancellation (optional, as you can choose not to land) and restart the immigration process from scratch.

c) You can have baby whenever you want to but if the baby is born before you land as a PR then he/she has to be included in the PR application which is not possible once PR visas are stamped.

e) You have to medical examination with one of the designated medical practitoners not just any doctor. And doctors do medical examination not solve queries like this.

WOW you got some quality detailed advice.

Next questions.

Did you research your representative before you put your money on his/her desk? Did you research anything yourself?

If your question was I´m looking for a second opinion I could live with that.

Great Samm for giving such advice...in continuation to the first query...If My family PR visa is stamped and new baby is born in US then including the baby in PR takes how much time. Do I need to send again the Passports of all family members to CHC, ND. Or is there any short process which CHC follows for issuing Visa to new born baby.

Thanks,

Read the previous posts carefully, your baby cannot be added once PR visas are stamped. It has to be done before the visas are stamped. Alternatively, you can land before the birth of the baby and sponsor the baby later on.

Canadian PR Visa Stamping (in reply to: Important...Canada Immigration Visa Stamping)
Hi,

Canadian immigration has got back to us asking us to send our passports for PR visa stamping by Aug 01 2009.
Our second baby is due sometime mid and July 2009. We are residing in USA and the baby will be born here in USA. What are the options that we have and what is the best way to handle this?

Thanks,
AJ.

medical examination (in reply to: Important...Canada Immigration Visa Stamping)
Good day friends.
I have few queries about immigration.
1.Is it required to do Xray as a part of medical examination.
2.What will be the duration after medical checkup that I can expect my stamping to be done?
3. Is it required to submit the orginal at the time of stamping?
