Hi,
This is in reference to my file no. is BXXXXXXXXX [FC1].
I have sent my passport via the Blue Dart Courier Service and see the tracking (through consignment no.XXXXXXXXXXXXX) that the Canadian High Commission has received my passport on December 8, 2008.
Along with my passport no. XXXXXXXX, I have also sent the filled out form of my travel history.
Can you please let me know the status of my case?

Dear, Normally CHC,NDl takes 4-6 weeks to issue a VISA. Can´t you wait for the few weeks ? Your case is not delayed. Let them take routine time. Are you in hurry to migrate ? It is not advisable to migrate Canada during winter,for the new comers.

Migrating during winters is not an issue. More importantly I want to be with my husband. Plus I have a job in New Delhi and I need to give my organization ample notice time before I leave. Moving countries is about logistics too. Hence I want to be well prepared.

That´s fine. Have a nice stay with your husband.
As a matter of fact I have also sent my passports on 11 Nov. and photographs-ALL, as request by CHC,NDL, on 2nd Dec. and still waiting for VISA to be issued.
Moreover, have you prepared a list of items to carry ? reply..

CHC, ND returned all our engagement, wedding and honeymoon pictures when they sent me the letter requesting for my passport. Looks like they dont need them anymore.
No, I havent prepared a list of things which essentially will be my clothes only. My husband travelled earlier and has taken some stuff with him and he already has a home there, so I just need to take my clothes with me now.

Have you received your passport back with visa stamping ?
Should I request you to post here as soon as you recived it ?
I am in the same boat and hence eager to know about the same.

As mentioned earlier, I had submitted my PP on 11th Nov.,2008 and Passport sized photographs of all family members reached CHC on 17th Dec.( They requested me to send photographs on 2nd Dec ).
Till the date no reply.
Is there any quota system / quarterly visa issuance system ?
