Hi,
I live in jersey city,NJ and want to find out more about the police clearance process.
Do i need an FBI clearance as well as local police certificate ?
Is there a local agency that does in fingerprinting around Jersey city or new york city that you guys might know of ?
Does the local police station do fingerprinting for fbi clearance?

Normally just FBI fingerprints needed, not local or state unless asked specifically. Usually your local police station would do your fingerprints for you at no charge. Just bring the FBI blank fingerprint card with you, if they do. You need to get the card in advance by contacting the national FBI office for fingerprint checks and they´ll mail it, or find a local FBI office where they´ll provide it for you.
