The answer comes with a small yes. The recession which is global in nature is nothing compared to what the US media is saying the US economy is like.

Plenty more....

People need to come into the real world.

Few months back some one here laughed (LOL) when Sharon was warning for the recesssion in ON. Now it is not just in ON, the golden duck western Canada is also in the recession mode.

Western Canada is in recession indeed but not nearly as bad as the rest of the country or the US. We feel the slow down mostly in the expantions, what is up and running, still up and running.

Cheers,

Bill

no because some industries are still hiring and those areas are reflected in the PNP programs and the new NOC codes. Just pay close attention to where you choose to live. Besides... you are at least a year away from moving and hopefully things will have started improving by then.

Not bad as as USA, may be, I believe so.

If yo need to lose something then you must need to have something at the first place. That´s why in our 3rd world we even didn´t know what is recession. What Canadians don´t or intentionally don´t want to realize that their economy is tied to to bottom to the US. So rather than rejoicing to see how bad economy is truning can´t be a smart idea.

For the immigrants in Canada, well, our story was apparently in the best time of Canadian economy.

Recession doesn´t mean total unemployment. Some employment will be there always...
I also changed my job in the last month. On the other hand people are losing jobs, but stll this is not the worse. Upto now there is not anything landslide collapse in the professional job market like 2001.
