Subject: ARC deportation could lapse? |

Hi first of all I have a friend who´s been forcely deported from Canada to his home country 3 years ago and he wants to move back to Toronto.
He´s story is that he didn´t leave Canada when his deportation order was due and there was a command of arrest him by police. He got caught driving and immediately been arrested and sent back to his country. Now his country does not require to have visa to travel to Canada.
I think more people would like to know if 5 years past would lapse (like any other case lapses) he would still need to apply to ARC or just try to enter Canada without that? We´d just like to know if it really is necessary to apply to ARC?
Thank you in advance
Sincerely,
Thomas Brown

(in reply to: ARC deportation could lapse?)
He is permanently banned from entering Canada.
He needs to apply for an authorization to return to Canada.
What do you mean by move back to Toronto? If he wants to move back he would have to apply for a PR status, because as a turist.. not a hope. If he tries to enter Canada, he will be refused entry.
Cheers,
Bill
