Subject: Appeal to CIC - unfair decision
Hello, I believe CIC has been unfair towards me while making decision over my work permit. I had submitted my application to Vegreville, AB office. On speaking to the CIC agent over the phone and listening to the notes on my work permit application, I understand that if I fight for justice, the CIC decision may change to favorable for me.
How can I appeal to CIC? Is it better to hire a lawyer?

Did you not already answer your post?

You applied to CPC Vegreville for a work permit. Why there?

You did it yourself and were refused, hmmmmmm do I need to hire someone to appeal?

Why a work permit to Vegreville? R U eligable?

On what grounds would the IAD allow your appeal?

Do U even have grounds to submit an appeal?

The work permit is under PGWP program for which Vegreville is the only processing centre.
I was given 1 year instead of 3 year inspite of completing a 2 yr program from a recognized institution.

Now, I want to appeal. How should I go about?

Frequently asked questions:
Working temporarily in Canada
Work permits
Can a potential employer in Canada or an applicant outside Canada appeal the decision on a work permit application?

Under Canada?s Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, there is no formal right of appeal on temporary resident visa decisions. Instead, applicants can reapply and, whenever possible, a different visa officer will examine the application.

Applicants can also ask for a judicial review through the Federal Court of Canada, if they think the process was not legally or procedurally fair. A lawyer in Canada would act on their behalf.

115.77.146 you forgot to post the link where you found this information and never gave an example of the average legal cost to appeal this decision to the Federal court. Normally $5,000.00 CA and only a Lawyer who is a member of the provincial bar association can appeal to the Federal Court of Canada.

My son just asked me a question 115.77.146 why does he/she call themselves anonymous? You appear knowledgable and have the time to find the correct answers. Welcome!
