Subject: new rules? |

I have read on many websites that CIC is coming out with a list of 38 occupations and the applications belonging to this coveted list will be fast-tracked, while others may be delayed/ refunded back.
In this case, what about the applications with Arranged Employment? Will the new rules affect these applications? Suppose if my occupation is not part of the "38"; then can I still apply for immigration under FSW with AE?

(in reply to: new rules?) arranged employment is still the absolute best way to go. even better is a PNP.

(in reply to: new rules?) It´s interesting how they were able to identify THE 38. I just hope this list will not adversely affect the chances of other applicants whose professions don´t land in the list.
When and where will this list be published? How do we know that they have started processing FSW papers again?
Please advise.

(in reply to: new rules?) I did not realize that there is exactly 38 and we do not know clearly how this is going to work. I have heard several versions
1) if you are not in the 38 that are country wide require skills you may be redirected to the PNP program
2) if you don´t fall into THE 38 you will be given the choice of a refund or to put yourself in the waiting line that will be looked at if there are not enough applicants in THE 38
we have not been given a specific date for THE 38 or the new rules. I am assuming they will make some formal announcements about all of it fairly soon.
