what after submitting the application (in reply to: what after submitting the application ?)
Bring a truck of beer, and when you finish it you will get a answer from immigration canada ....LOL

you question No.1
after submitting your application, they will check you application, is it complete? do they require additional documents? so it takes arround 4 months depends on location where you applied. so if your application is complete they will submit you a file number, and with this file number and your birth date you cn check ?status of your application online.

they never test ?our english/french in a interview, you have to send them all certificates you have, for english you can take IELTS, its not difficult to score 7, and you take general exam. they might ask you right after submitting you a file number for IELTS.

in my view, you have to let yourself F***Ked to get a job, specialy when you are not in canada even if you are in canada, it is hard to get a right job in your line of experience.(my cousin Doctor, did 2 years security job to find a job as an doctor, now he is in nova scotia and got a job in his line..his bro is recruiter in hospital so if you need i can give you his contact you can e-mail him your resume, may be he can help you).
to gain points as an arranged job, the job has to be approved from HRSDC and i dont think so that any employer will do it for you, so see if you get your score without arranged job.
4.
there are no jobs which can fasten your immigration process. every location has an time line, you can check online at CIC for the process times arround the world.

have great time
see ya
