I can´t tell you how this election will affect immigration, but I can at least tell you how the voting went down.

Firstly, Canada saw the lowest voter turn-out in Canadian history. 59.1% of Canadians voted, leaving 41% not voting.

When it comes to seats one, there was almost no change. Green was the only party to see an increase in the number of votes (Green party got nearly an extra 300´000 votes this time around) while all other parties saw a decrease in the total number of votes. Due to the fact that every party (other than Green) had a significant decrease in the number of votes, however, the highest increase in the % was 4%.

We have another minority government, going in this order: Conservatives, Liberals, NDP.

the changes that were proposed in June for Federal Skilled workers will stand. We are waiting news on the full list of preferred NOC codes and how they intend to process applications.

yes, it is frustrating but nothing we can do but wait.

Canada is full, trust me. With the slowing economy, we are likely to see more and more Canucks thrown out of jobs and lining to queues to get freebees. It is a good time to curtail immigration quotas till about the middle of 2010.

Thanks every body, but do you advise me to apply and take turn in Que, any way there will be a refund if I wont meet the chosen N.O.C categories.?

I was told that I will have the choice either to refund or to reply or to be in waiting list , is this true ?
