Subject: sponsorship of my husband
hello every-one, am posting this with hopes that some-one can relate or have information that might be able to help me, my husband and i been together for 6 years with 2 kids 4 years old and 5 months old married almost 4 years (march 19) we met in new york after visiting i became pregnant with my now 4 years old daughter; am a canadian citizen so i´ve advised him to return to grenada our country of birth and i will sponsor him so we can have a better life in canada, he returned to grenada from new york in 2006 and i started his sponsorship soon after. I travelled numorous times to see him with my son from my previous relationship and our daughter; in 2007 after returning from seeing him we received a letter stating that his application was refuse because we never merged our lives together and i stated on the application that he´s the father of my daughter but his name does not appear on her birth certificate so it was beleived i lied. I found the whole thing to be outragous because after the birth of my daughter in 2004 i spent almost 1 year in new york with him then return so my son can start school, and second his name could not be on her birth certificate because he was not in canada for the birth of our daughter; he does not have the travel documents to enter canada so he was unable to sign the declaration of birth. I then got a lawyer and filed an appeal paid $2000 march 12, 2008 his appeal was accepted i was told by the judge after an appeal is accepted it takes approximately 3 months for him to enter the country however october 12,2008 will be seven months and my husband is still not here and i have not heard a word from the embassy in trinidad & tobago that´s handling my husband case, i´ve called requesting information with no response and no replies, i´ve written numorous letters still with no luck. so now am a mother of 3 and the struggle continues with no help from any-one it´s hard and only getting harder my son is 8 and in school, daughter 4 and in daycare and our new addition is 5 months. Am at home with her with a very poor income. SO Does anyone know where i can get help or for some-one to look into my case. please help any advice to lift my spirit will do there are times i just want to give i currently suffer with high blood pressure and my 4 years old has a venous malformation(abnormal veins on her head above the eye) on her head that requires contant follow-ups. please some-body help me.

Have you contacted your MP? I don´t know much about the appeals process, however there is another forum where there are a number of members who may be able to give you information.

You may want to try posting your question here: http://www.immigration.ca/discussion2/

I have seen numerous posts regarding denied applications and you may be able to get some answers there.
