Just got request for medicals. It is for SW1 class.It is 4 of us 2 adults and 2 children 7 mo and 7 yrs.
How long it will take and what is the process after medicals are accepted?
I had an interview already.

Go to the nearest designated medical practitioner with your original forms and 4 photos each...MAKE SURE THAT YOUR DOCTOR SENDS THE RESULTS TO OTTAWA ASAP....ASK THAT THE RESULTS BE SENT WITH COURIER SERVICE OR EXPRESS MAIL AND GET THE TRACKING NUMBER....
Follow-up the by using tracking number and make sure that the results reach Ottawa.
From the date of receiving the medicals, it takes Ottawa 4-8 weeks to process the results and enter them into the system.
Meanwhile, you and your family members will be undergoing background check..
..then wait to receive the passport request once the background check is completed.
At Buffalo, It takes a minimum of 2 1/2 to 3 months to receive the letter of passport request from the date medicals received at ottawa.....might take much longer depending on the past history of you and your wife and its impact of background check............
