Hi,
I have had a Saudi driving license for two years now and am looking to apply for the Canadian license. From my understanding, you require two things to do this, a letter of authentication from the embassy in ottawa, and a certified translation of the license itself. Could anybody who has done this give me any tips? Where do I start? I´ve tried calling the embassy but they seemed confused at my request...so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

just get the translation and go to driving license office. they´ll give u g2 license.

I have been in saudia for seven years and have Saudi driving licence but it has expired.will it be still useful in getting my new licence in Canada.I will be landing in canada as an immigrant shortly.

saudi drivers licence is not valued in canada, if you submit a translate copy you can go for g2 test directly

Authentication letter For Saudi Driving Licence (in reply to: saudi driver's license)
Dear Sir,
I seek your advise on the following ;
1) I am a new immigrant in Canada from Saudi Arabia and have a Saudi driving License. Now Canadian Authorities need to an authentication letter from Saudi Driving Authorities.How can I get it from Canada ( I already Left Saudia and Reside in Canada )
2) I already have Arabia to English Translation done and reported my Saudi Driving License to Ontario Licensing Authorities to claim time exemption.
They allow me the exemption but need letter from Saudi Authorities regarding the License.
Please Help me on it.
