hi all,
Got a question regarding NOC claiming.
I did my bachelors in Computer Engineering specialized in software engineering and Masters of Science in Technology with emphasis on computers and security.
My 6 years of work experiences are in:
1) Linux Systems/Network administration (4 years)
2) Senior Developer for Localization and Linux distribution software development ( 2 years)
Is it OK if I claim my NOC as:
2147 - Computer Engineers ( except Software engineers) for 1
and
2173 - Software Engineers for 2
Thanks in adv
Paras.

(in reply to: NOC claim) Job title is not important but duties are when it comes to determining NOC code. You see the duties under the NOC codes, choose the one which match best with yours. You can choose two different NOC codes for your different jobs.

(in reply to: NOC claim) To what extent I know, Both the job title and work description is equaly important. But NOC list has many job titles not listed which Immi CAN is currently working on.
This page can give you some ideas
http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC-CNP/app/index.aspx?lc=e
But Havent seen anyone got that much stumble for NOC codes.
