Subject: Visit Visa
  Hi,

I am a landed immigrant, and Canadian Citizen now.whenever I apply to visit visa for one of my parents it get rejected, and it doesn´t matter whats the visit reason or the country they applying from.I presented so many documents and letters from my lawyer , MP´s, city consulars. The reason comes ,as usual ,silly and doesn´t make sences to anyone ...for instance says " the applicant has no enough tighs with his/her origenal country" Imagine 68 years old father has bussines, house ,family has no tighs!!!!.My dad died before I got a chance to see him .
Now they even have rejected my OWN son´s(with my ex-wife) visit visa for the reason that " August has ended and your son has to go back to school"!!!!! and that I submitted the visa application on the first of August to get the answer by the end of August with stupid refusal reason.

If you can tell me what I should do and whome I should contact to find out why they are doing this to me ,and why they call you canadian citizen if your not beeing treated like other canadian and have the same rights of other canadians

Thanks.

Bahar

obviously, they are not convinced your family members intend to return home. Have another look at how you are writing your letter of invitation.

not that it helps any but a CIC officer is responsible for any non- return TRV´s. If they have made a bad decision and someone does not leave Canada as promised- it goes against their record to reduce the chances of bribery.

like I said, have another look at your wording and reasoning on the invitation. Alternately, it may be time for you to arrange a holiday and go to see your family.

If people did not break the rules on a regular basis, those who intend to keep the rules would not have such a hard time.

There is no such things as breaking the rules my friend....rules are made by CIC and they are the one who compell people to break the reules...if they allow the immediate family members to move freely with no strings attached, people would not look for other options......i am keeping my dad here because i know if he leaves, they would not allow him to come back because he has no ties now.....Visit Visa once rejected will take a miracle to get approved the 2nd time for Canada...so chill out....relax, give visa officers a break.....and apply next year.....give them a genuine reason and attach supporting documents....but there is one thing for sure and you must be aware of it that there is a lot of difference between a born canadian and a landed immigrant....so try to live with what you got and do not get mad......because getting mad is not the solution of any thing.....

They want money. Many visa officers are corrupt.Pass money and the visa will be approved.

Mike, whether you agree or not, like it or not - you are the very reason Bahar is not going to get that visa. CIC has a motto - once burnt, twice cautious or better yet... simply no!

Like it or not, CIC is not there for the applicant, it is there to protect the interests of the country and its tax payers (including recent immigrants).

My guy had his visa rejected 3 times before he was successful. 2 successful trips being accurate with his return date later, he now holds a multi-enter visa until his passport expires.

Visa´s are possible but they are a priviledge not a right. inviting a son to come from what I expect is a under developed country just as the school term is starting is one giant red flag. Our friend should have applied in May for a July 1 arrival date (assuming it is a similar school year) with confirmed registration back home for school in September.

Better yet, Mom should have indicated she was going home 1 week after she brought him, and Dad should have shown that he was escorting the child back to his mother at the end of the visit.

Maybe CIC think ex and Bahar are getting back together again and this is the easiest way to do it. All arrive for a visit and do an inland sponsorship. Stranger things have happened or been tried.

start thinking like CIC thinks and you might have a better chance of reassuring them of your intentions.

Sahron ,

I guess your not getting the point , It´s my son and I know better what´s good for him and what the good time that he can come (alone) to visit me !!!!and I don´t have magic ball to know what the visa officer mode is on that day or what he thinks of my application . I submitted what ever they are asking in CIC web-site for under 18.I wouldn´t mind if they were asked me for more supporting documents to prove my genuin case, instade, the rejected as long I has a refused application before.Visa officer like all other goverment employees, they all been hired from different background, have no experience and dont bother to just look at the case and think out of the box.I know lots of people came on visit visa but they are from different ethnics, and their applications were processed within less time and I guess here is the main point and I start believe what I listen from people like Mike

if you insist on thinking CIC is 100% responsible for your rejected visa, then I guess nobody can help you. As long as you insist this is about race, then there is no point in trying again.

so, what exactly would you like us to do?

Sharon, try to put yourself in my situation and feel the pinch. When you read the Visa application requirment on governmental web-site , run around, taking a day off from work , spend a lots of money between collecting the documents and paying FedEx for two way and planing for his come. Doesn´t make little sense if they would have a doubt to review the application, read the attached explanation letter and write you for supporting documents and allow you a week or two to provide the documents.Isn´t the processing fees for this purpose? .Look at the immigration process, they ask you for more document to proof your case if they have a doubt, but unfortunately none of this is happening at visa offices abroad. In Europe, visit visa in being processed at the same destination country so they can gather and determine necessary document and ask you to proof you case before they process and take decision. I guess immigration officers in Europe are working for their country as well

why don´t you try to go back home and accompany your son in applying for the visit visa?

or sponsor your son to join you as immigrant or maybe sponsor him to study in canada......think of possible options...

I have the same problem as yours but mine is visiting my mother and sister in USA. I´ve been to different countries I think the only country I can´t visit is USA because I don´t have strong ties to go back to my home country (according to visa officer)...also, eventhough they don´t mean to descriminate but according to their statistics of vistors not coming back is high..... sounds unfair but we can´t do anything about it its their country, they have the right to welcome who they want to....so lets just see what other options we can do...

instead of ranting with this silly reasons, if they don´t want me, i don´t want them either!

Cheers!
