Subject: PCC
I HAVE BEEN IN ABUDHABI FROM MAY-2006 TO AUGUST-2007.
WHEN I EXIT FROM ABUDHABI I OBTAINED PCC FROM ABUDHABI AND NEVER RE ENTER THE COUNTRY.

NOW CIC, LONDON IS ASKING FOR MY UPDATED APPLICATION.

CAN I SUBMITT ABOVE MENTIONED PCC FOR CIC EVALUATION PURPOSE?

ALSO WHEN MY AGENT SUBMITT MY INITIAL APPLICATION(SW) IN 2007 THEY DID A MISTAKE IN THE YEARS OF EDUCATION. THEY TYPED IT 15 YEARS.BUT IT IS 14 ONLY.

WHEN CIC ASKED FOR UPDATED APPLICATION RECENTLY, I CORRECTED THIS.

IS IT BE A PROBLEM AT THE TIME OF ASSESMENT?

Hi Joseph,

Though you have not visited back to Abu Dhabi since Aug 07, you will have to submit a new PCC from UAE. Because as they have mentioned, whatever the country you have lived more than six months, from all those places you will have to obtain PCC even though you havn´t visited there again. In your case, you will have to get a new PCC from Abu Dhabi.

HAI MURU,

HOW YOU INTERPRET THE FOLLOWING,

FAQ FROM LONDON CHC WEB SITE,

How long is my police clearance certificate valid?

Your police clearance certificate is valid for a period of one year from the date it was issued. If the validity has expired before your visa is issued you will be requested to provide an updated police certificate from the country you are currently living in. If you have already submitted police certificates from other countries where you have not recently lived you will not have to provide an update.

Lets see if I understand your situation correctly.

You have a police certificate from Abu Dhabi that you got in August 2007. Correct?

You have not yet sent this to CIC with your applications. Correct?

You read on the CIC website that:

?Your police clearance certificate is valid for a period of one year from the date it was issued.? Correct?

If the above three situations are correct, lets do some quick math here:

We are now in September 2008. Therefore the certificate was issued 13 months ago. Correct?

13 months is longer than 12 months.

There are 12 months in a year.

Therefore, your certificate are older than 1 year.

Do you think your certificate is still valid?

Joseph,

So you asked a question, and people provided you an answer. You don?t like the answer you so want to argue about it. Tell you what, why don?t you go ahead and send in the old certificates. When CHC tells you that they are old and request new ones, you can get new certificates then and send over.

What would happen is that it would delay the processing of your application. Great. No skin of anyone?s nose here. Its your life. When CHC request new certificates, you can argue with them as well. Show them the paragraph over and over again. Nothing would happen accept it would keep delaying your application.

I am not going to bang my head against the wall with you. You don?t want to get new certificates, fine. As I said, your life. Wish you the best.

according to your post, CIC has asked for a current police certificate for the country in which you now live. Sounds logical to me. A CURRENT police certificate. not one that is 10 months old, not one that is 12 or 13 months old CURRENT - that means as of TODAY.

for all they know you could have burned down London Bridge since you sent in your last clearance.

Like Ray suggests, don´t ask a question and then argue with people after they give you and an answer you don´t like.
