Intl DL will do (in reply to: driving licence) If you have Internatinal DL that will really help. Is your Intl DL only one month old or the Indian one?? Intl. DL works there for one year.
Getting a licence in Canada is not very difficult. You can visit the website http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/dandv/driver/drvlicen.htm for more details. you will get all the information. hope this helps.

(in reply to: driving licence) Getting DL in Canada is not difficult? This may not be true. Difficulty is a relative term. At least compared to USA, Australia it is many times difficult, not too mention expensive as well.

(in reply to: driving licence) I agree with DC. Getting a DL in Canada is a hell a lot of job. While in America in some of the sattes it is as easy as buying a chocolate from a store. But in Canada, please do not take it easy......it is a difficult and expensive job as compare to US, UK and Australia. Bring your driving abstract and insurance records with you (you and husband boith.

(in reply to: driving licence) driving abstract shows your driving record and other information about the license. With one month old license you would only be able to get G-2 license which is a license for beginners therefore you will be paying more money in insurance. Insurance records would verify that you previously had any accidents or not. That would be more required for your husband as according to you he got his license ages ago. So if he comes with cleans abstract and an insurance record he can get better auto insurance rates.
