I have a friend who just got married to a Canadian Citizen back home. now they are back, soon my friend will apply for Permanent residency. my friend is eligible for PR by himself.
is it still okay not to declare the canadian spouse? because as to what i know, it is misrepresentation still not declaring family member even if canadian spouse need not any sponsorship (of course spouse is in canada).
will CIC look after marital status? or it doesnt matter at all?
will it cause trouble in the future?

U have to declare the marital status. why don´t you declare your canadian spouse? it is a pluse on the app. Stating single status instead of married one is a fraud.
