Subject: Returning Permanent Resident Please Help
  Dear All,

I become Permanent Resident of Canada in June 2006. I stayed in Canada for 10 days and then came back to UK. My cousin received my PR Card and sent it through one of my relative. I have been living in UK since April 2002 and I have a Masters degree and full time Job here. But am not mentally satisfied due to continuous chnages in the immigration laws. I wanted to move Canada asap but it did not seem easy to get IT Job. So I learnt IT Business over the last few years and now am planning to come back Canada permanently in January 2009. As per 3 out of 5 year rule my immigration is valid till June 2009. Now will they ask Where have you been since June 2006? and can they deny my entry or I can enter Canada with out problems as am obeying the law and PR Obligation.

Also am planning to get married in Oct 2008. Do I need to inform CIC? or I can tell them when I land there in Jan 2009?

Your Urgent Reponse will be higly Appreciated
Best Regards
Amer

#1 do no count on the residency laws never changing

#2 as a landed PR, you do not need to inform CIC about your marriage BUT
your wife is not eligible to come to Canada when you come back. You will need to return to Canada and then begin the sponsorship process. You will need to show income (no minimum requirement) and residency.

sponsorship can take up to a year for outland applications.
