Hi, To the folks who have already landed and settled.
I plan to land during Dec in Toronto airport from UK. But I dont intend to move to Canada for couple of years. I have a friend in Canada. Please clarify the following questions.
1. If I give my friends address, will I get my PR card, even if I say the immigration officer that I am going back to UK?
2. In what form do they expect the proof of friends. I have my cash in British pounds. Is a British account statement sufficient as proof of funds?
3. Since I dont intend to move immediately, what do I need to answer for list of goods?

Your logic is something that is bound to upset others.
Thousands have been waiting for years to be approved to immigrate and when you get approved you have no intent to reside in Canada!
Next question residency requirements!
What would happen now that the Minister of Immigration has the ability to change the rules whenever, how ever if she reverted back to you having to reside in Canada for 183 days in any twelve year period?

1. Yes you will get it
2.I am not sure that Bank statement would help..Immigration could refuse it.
3.Goods follow list and goods with you (list). It´s wise to submit GTF list so you can bring the stuff anytime.

why people are so aggressive here ??? coming back to uk or starting life in canada is a personal matter and its not your business , everyone has own reasons and conditions ,its not easy to start new life and looking for work and home without enough money ,you know the difficulties which the new comers faces in canada in the beginning, and maybe some business must be finished at home first or or or
just answer the question and we all thank you or just ignore it
