Subject: How many Baggages an immigrant is allowed? |
Hi
My wife that I am in the process of sponsoring, is asking me how many baggages she can bring when she comes here? 2 (23 kg) like any other traveler or more because of her immigration visa?
Thanks

(in reply to: How many Baggages an immigrant is allowed?) you can bring hundreds of bags if you can afford to pay your airline the extra money other than what is allowed 2 bags of 23 kg and an hand carry.....Usually all the the airlines allow 2 bags with a certain weight and a hand carry. Baggages have nothing to do with your immigrant visa. Limit of weight and baggaes is airline´s issue not an immigration´s issue.

(in reply to: How many Baggages an immigrant is allowed?) I think the OP is asking because certain airlines to Australia allow immigrants double baggage allowance for their immigration flight. Unfortunatly I don´t know of any airlines that do this for Canada

(in reply to: How many Baggages an immigrant is allowed?) British Airways will allow 32kg X 2 + hand carry till Nov 08

(in reply to: How many Baggages an immigrant is allowed?) It depend´s which AIrlines you are travelling. It would differ between 5-7 kilos between Airlines ( let say if you are flying from EU) BUT the basic rule would followed given by the IATA.Better consult your airlines since they are the expert.
