I am currently in UK and plan to land during Nov 08.
Once I land and come back to UK, do I become PR of canada and free to travel to Canada at any time?? When do I get my PR card? Can I give my friends address in Canada to get the PR card? Can I travel to europe being a PR of Canada?

You become PR as soon as you land
your PR card can take 6 weeks or so to reach you.
Yes you can give a friends address
Being a PR of Canada is irrelevant when travelling , if you would require a visa to travel to Europe because of the passport you hold , you will still need a visa when you become PR of Canada

They ask when you land , if you can´t give them an address then , you have up to six months to provide them with one if you want your PR card to be free. Provide thme with an address after that and you have to pay for your PR card
