Subject: Entry into Canada
I was a US Green Card holder and got deported from the US this year. I travelled four times to Canada through the border and once by air at Pearson Airport. Do you think that the Canadian authorities would have information on me when I arrived in Canada during my visits?
I want to apply for a visitor´s visa without mentioning my deportation from the US.

depends on the reason for your deportation.

answer your visitor visa questions truthfully. If you get caught lying - you will kiss your chances goodbye forever.

I was charged and deported for conspiracy to import cocaine into the U.S.
Do you think the Canadian authorities will know of this and if they would have a record of my visits to Canada as a former Green Card holder.

yes and yes. how do you intend to fill out a visitors visa application without lying?

Inadmissibility
Some people are inadmissible?they are not allowed to come to Canada. Several things can make you inadmissible, including involvement in criminal activity, in human rights violations or in organized crime. You can also be inadmissible for security, health or financial reasons.

question on the temporary visa application-
Have you or any member of your family ever:
c) Committed, been arrested or charged with any criminal offence in any country?

You want to enter Canada?
Not a hope.

1- In your visa application CIC will ask you if you or any family member have ever been arrested or committed any criminal offence in or outside of Canada.

If you choose to lie which is stupid byt the way, CBSA and FBI have a shared database, even a crime such as DUI will appear in their screen when you try to cross the border.

To: Mike, yes, do you want to be a distributor?
To: Bill, thank you, your answer is the only one that has some logic.
To: Sharon, you should only answer questions that you have knowledge of, or just shut your mouth up instead of replying to each and every post.

DUI won´t be anything serious, but conspiracy to drug smuggle is very very serious. US would try to make your entry constrained to any of it´s friends for good reason and Canada is their first choice who´ll recieve your background.

I think you have an intention in your mind to land Canada with the US Green card (I assume the card is still valid though your GC status is gone). Sorry to say, but I hope that they can detect you right away..

I know Sheik hasn´t been charge with DUI, what I meant is that ANY criminal offence minor or serious is going to appear in the officers screen when a person tries to cross the border.

They will refuse your entry.

True bill.

He has a positive side; especially while travelling by road (not his option anymore). Rarely border officials run US GC holders background. Most of the time you even don´t have to come out of your car. They take the card in hand, match with your face..turn upside down at the same time asking some common questions...then you are good to go unless you made some stupid mistake or need to deal with the customs.
