Subject: job offer.
hi there, i applied for pr some 18 months ago under skilled worker class. at that time i did not have a job offer for arranged employment. if i get an approved job offer how can i update this on my file?

i worked in canada for just shy of 1 year and am confident my past employer would give me a permanent job offer. (lansdcape gardener)
i am unsure how i can best utilise this. do i withdraw my application and resubmit?

any help would be great
many thanks

Hi, I believe you can apply for a work visa if you have offer of employment whilst your PR application is in process - if anything, should you be successful with your work visa application it should speed up your PR application. Hopefully someone with a bit more knowledge can confirm or deny this for you, but I am pretty sure this is what happens.
Good luck, Karen

hi karen, thanks for your reply.
i believe you are correct in what you´re saying but do you know what the implications would be be for my wife if went on a teporary work visa, would she be permitted to go with me and work or would she need a seperate visa for herself?

if she couldn´t do this then i would just want to utilise my job offer to strengthen my/our pr application if that´s possible.

all very confusing!

Hi, I think that she would need her own work visa, but again, hopefully someone with a bit more knowledge can answer for definate! I am in the same situation - applied for a PR visa 18 months ago, and am now desperately trying to find work so that I can get over there sooner, but I am on my own so have not had to look into having dependents/spouses with me. Hopefully someone can give you a definitive answer!
