Subject: Spousal application q's
  Hello everyone,
I married my Canadian girlfriend here in Scotland on Friday while she was here on vacation(obviously with the appropriate visa and paperwork to do so) and we are now filling in a spousal application to allow me to live with her in Canada.
We have been working on the application for some time and have obtained polce clearance documents etc from various places I have lived as well as all sorts of other stuff that´s asked for.
We have known each other for almost three years and I have met her children, family and friends while on vacation in Canada on several occasions.Likewise, she has met my family while here on this vacation.
We feel that we have all the ´proof of relationship´ etc that´s required to go ahead with an application but have hit a bit of a snag and are unsure of how to proceed with the application.
My Q´s are:
I have a son from a previous marriage and, although completely estranged from him,I have a voluntary financial support agreement(which I will always maintain) with my ex-wife. However, I would like to know how I answer the ´dependent´ type q´s that relate to my son that I have no chance of finding the answers for .....such as passport numbers and the submission of recent photos etc.
Would it be ´application suicide´ if I didn´t mention him at all?

Am I right in my understanding that ,because of my dependent, I now have to submit a financial assessment document, which is not normally the case in a ´spousal application´?

Further to this, can I visit my wife in Canada while my application is pending?.....and could I actually go and live in Canada while my application is being processed?

Thanks in advance for any info on these matters:Joe
