Hello everyone,
I hope somebody can help me with my case.
I´ve applied post-graduation work permit on June 11th 2008 but I sent it to the wrong unit in Vegreville, Alberta.
My study permit is expired today (June 30 2008). So, I send another application on June 30 2008 to the right unit address.
I have a job offer already, and it will officially start on July 15th. I cannot start working because I don´t have any official status (because of this wait time). Is there any way to accelerate the process so that I can get my work permit by June 30th?
Please get back to me as soon as possible and I need suggestion of what should I do. My future employer might provide a letter of employement if it is necessary.
Thanks

PGWP application ( post graduate work permit) (in reply to: post graduation work permit) I from my three times previous experience in applying post graduate work permit (as I had to change employer twice and finally applied for open work permit)I have noticed that PGWP get processed withing three business days upong CIC´s unit 777 ´s receiving of the application. I believe you should be able to start working from July 15. Please call cic´s call centre to confirm whether your application has been processed or not. You can also get confirmation through automated phone service.

PGWP (in reply to: post graduation work permit) Thanks for your respond.
I see on the CIC website that they processed the PGWP application until June 13th. I might need to wait another 2-3 weeks until mine get processed. Hopefully I will get it by June 30th.
I also did not include the original proof of graduation because I include that on my first application that has been sent 3 weeks before. I just hope they will understand that.
Thanks again for your respond.
