I entered US in 2003 as L1. My company is now applying for Intra-Company Transfer to our office in Ontario, Canada.

My questions are.

1. Once I enter Canada with Intra-Company transfer work permit/ Visa, Can I apply for PR right away? Or should I wait for certain period of time?

2. Should I apply to the CIC office in Canada/ Buffalo, NY?

3. If i get work permit for 1 year, Is there a possibility of getting my work permit renewal denied while my PR is under process?

Please let me know.

1. Being accepted by the various Provincial PNP is based on whether or not you and your occupation would be accepted under that particular provinces PNP. The sooner the better and Sharon 2 cents are right.

I and many others are still waiting on the new Canadian Experience Class but I for one am not holding my breath.

I´m waiting for an Canadian election call to get rid of the George Bush clone we have.

That would mean these new changes to the IRPA would not come into effect.

The answer for question 2 is not clear cut.If you will meet the arranged employment requirements, some visa offices can process you in 4-12 months.Everyone in Buffalo is submitting a complete(non-simplified) application and you are likely to face a longer processing time there. You didn´t mention your nationality, but from my experience, you lose the advantage the AE gives you if you apply in Buffalo(unless you are American and you don´t have a choice).
