Subject: Visa stamping at Canadian Embassy - AbuDhabi
I heard, Candian embassy at Abu Dhabi has stopped visa stamping for Federal skilled immigrants. Earlier they used to do it for all immigrants from the middle east region, who had applied to CIC-London office. Anybody from the Middle East /Gulf region has done visa stamping recently and would advise on this? Thanks in advance.

visa for Canada (in reply to: Visa stamping at Canadian Embassy - AbuDhabi) (in reply to: Visa stamping at Canadian Embassy - AbuDhabi)
Mr. K.B. Rajaguru,
If you want to visit Canada for 2 weeks should be fair to the visa issuing officer. It cant be possible to get the visa based on the sponsorship from your relatives. Try to strength your individual merit to get visa directly. It is easyway to get visa soon rather than getting sponsorship from canada. The officer definitly knowing your aim that you will not come back to Dubai. Anyhow try your best to apply visa to enter Canada. Welcome to Canada...

Tourist Visa enquiry (in reply to: Visa stamping at Canadian Embassy - AbuDhabi)
Dear Sir,

I just want to enquire what are the requirements in applying a Canadian tourist visa? A friend will sponsor me and I just want to know how much it will cost in Dirhams for the visa? I am 32 years old from the Philippines and working as assistant customer service in a retail industry.

Hope to hear from you.

Thank you.

Respectfully yours,

Adrian

PROVINCIAL NOMINEE (STRATEGIC OCCUPATIONS) (in reply to: Visa stamping at Canadian Embassy - AbuDhabi)
DEAR SIR,

I´VE BEEN WORKING IN THE HOTEL INDUSTRY HERE IN DUBAI FOR 5 YRS AS CONCIERGE/VALET/ PORTER.

I WOULD LIKE TO APPLY FOR A PERMANENT JOB IN CANADA. I HAVE A SISTER WHO HAS BEEN LIVING IN CANADA FOR 2YRS NOW.

I READ SOMEWHERE THAT EVEN IF I HAD A SISTER WHO WOULD SPONSOR ME, I WOULD STILL HAVE TO HAVE THE SKILLS TO QUALIFY FOR IMMIGRATION.

SO I HAD BEEN ADVISED TO APPLY UNDER THE PROVINCIAL NOMINEE PROGRAM - UNDER STRATEGIC OCCUPATIONS. IS IT TRUE THAT CANADA WILL BE HOSTING THE OLYMPICS 2010 AND I COULD APPLY FOR A JOB?

I WANT TO APPLY WITHOUT HAVING TO GO THRU IMMIG CONSULTANCY AGENCIES. CAN I JUST APPLY THRU THE CANADIAN EMBASSY AND THEY COULD FIND A JOB FOR ME?

WHAT KIND OF PAPER WORK SHOULD I SUBMIT? HOW MUCH WOULD IT COST ME?

I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE ANY ADVICE YOU COULD SHARE. THANK YOU.

Yes, the Olympics are coming to Vancouver in February. Chances are small to zero that your application would be any where need completed in time for this event, assuming there are employment opportunities available. IF there are, they would likely suggest a temporary work permit - not a provincial nominee program.

No, the Canadian Embassy will not find you a job.
