Hello,
I´ve been married to my husband (born in Canada) for almost 3 years. We´ve been living together in Quebec (me with a study permit since I´m doing my PhD).
I was taking a look at the sponsorship application process. In the FAQ in the Immigration website it says that it´s faster to apply from outside... but if you look at the processing times (updated on June 2nd 2008) it says that it´s taking 4-5 month for first stage approval! So...
a) Who should I believe? What do you recommend?
b) How long does it take after the first stage approval to ge the PR?
c) Should I call Immigration Canada and ask about this? Every time I ask they seem to just parrot the website back so calling has never really been useful :(

as a student did you inform CIC about your change in status?

Hey Camilla, Ooops Sharon, I thought that you claimed to be an expert on Immigration, the least you can do is to answer the confused commentator, not to send her to CIC for more confusion.
