Subject: few questions...
  Hi there!

I am planning on submitting my PR in Canada. I am from Guatemala. I will apply on skilled workers PR.

Do I need to get a lawyer? I know is not necessary but will it help?
Which is the best city to live? I am moving because I have a 2y/o girl and want the best place for her to grow up. My country is way too dangerous!

Thank you,

Canada good country to live (in reply to: few questions...)
Good decision.

Look at www.cic.gc.ca - You could apply directly to the Immigration Canada, but if you apply through the lawyer better to find a reliable one. A lawyer might help in the process to avoid unnessessary delays. For example, you may receive proper advice and guidance in submitting your documents.
Alberta is booming and lots of employment are also available, but accomodation is expensive
Toronto is the most populated city and jobs are also available. Pl look at www.immigratedoctorcanada.com for lots of info about Canada.
