Sharon: You make a great point, of course. I guess that´s sort of what I meant when I said earlier that "color is color" in this country (maybe in Canada too, and probably most places still). From my understanding, he grew up in a very diverse family and is truly bi-racial; that is, not identifying with only one or the other race. I suppose partially for this reason, he is neither considered "white" by the one "side", or "black enough" by the other (as though there should even be such a thing).

What amazes me is that the media doesn´t comment much on how he truly is the embodiment of the "American Dream". I think the fact that he is overcoming race as an issue(despite Hillary´s intentions) is true testament to his ability to finally unite Americans and help to finally heal old wounds.

he is neither black nor white - ironic that he is black enough for black voters but not white enough for some white voters.

I am not very patient with this racial stuff. As I get older I am realizing that not everyone has had such a priviledged life as I have. I have lived in a community where there has been opportunity to be colour blind.

What about Tiger Woods, like who cares what his colour is? I just love to see the way he hits the ball.

Now is Hillary a real woman and what is a real woman?
Is Barack black enough & what is considered black enough?

How can Citizens of USA even focus on such silliness?

Like when they pick a Supreme court Judge all of his Videos he has ever watched and rented are provided as evidence to see if he/she is suitable.

The SPIRIT or inspiration of the person is what should be focused on as well as who can best defeat McCain. ah hem

Also agree that race should be irrelevant. Such silly issues is what gets us into trouble.

Look at why Bush was elected the first time. He was seen as a guy you could have a beer with. And look at what we got. As Bill Maher said recently, how about electing a guy who´s smart, educated, and understands policy instead?
