Subject: Obama understanding the process
Senator Obama is finally understanding what is required to win an election.

Obama is finally having some small rallies and actually answering questions from the audience.

Obama has failed to connect previously with the electorate especially the working man. Now he is turning that around. Is it too little too late?

Either way Hillary and Barack have one chance to win and its tonight. Hillary should win Indiana and must keep Barack within single digits for NC. Barack has to get into double digits for NC and win Indiana.

Barack has to win both to get rid of Hillary.
Hillary has to win both to get rid of Barack.
Either way I can´t see either of them quitting!!!
So on with the race-------

I´m so excited that I´m heading home to get ready to celebrate one way or the other.

Good Luck Richard may the best woman win.

Hang in there, Roy. Your gal (am I too sexist?) has been doing a good job of coming back lately, and stands to equalize the race. However, I have one difference on how this looks at this point.

All Obama has to do is win North Carplina. It´s got twice the delegates as Indiana, and would then make it virtually impossible for Hillary to overcome the deficit to overtake Obama. An Indiana win for Obama would be nice, though, but if he comes close (say 5 pts.), there would not be a significant difference in delegates apportioned to change matters much.

This gas tax holiday proposal from her has become the new Webster´s Dictionary definition of "pander". Unfortunately. her appeal is heavily toward the less educated blue collar community, which may fall for such tricks. There´s no economist that supports this idea.

Hey, where´s Sharon and wannabe in defense (or should I say defence) of our side when I need them?

Good luck also tonight, Roy, we´ll all be watching this defining moment. It´ll either be champagne or Jack Daniels at the conclusion, depending on the results.

the gas tax holiday is a joke. Instead of solving the root cause, they want to throw $30 at everyone so they feel better. Such a typical political trick.

I am watching the first return from Indiana. As expected but still a little scary.

As for Champagne or JD - hmmmm mine will be scotch and that is if the good guy wins!

what is making me nuts is that I have to go to a work function this evening with a bunch of yahoo politicians of my own and I will miss the first half of the excitement on CNN.

holy %^&!

she is only ahead by 4% in Indiana with 72% of the vote counted. I was expecting a much bigger spread!

The Chicago suburbs of northwest Indiana still out! Strong Obama territory. It might be an upset.

Richard, Sharon, and...

Some are hinting that their was voter fraud in those counties next to Chicago where Obama picked up huge numbers. If all counties use the same system to count votes why the county closest to Chicago took sooooo long. hmmmmm the plot thickens.

Now how much air time will Loretta Lynn song "Coal Miners Daughter" get played for two weeks on US Air waves?

Hang in their Richard your boy (not claiming he is a child) won´t be around too much longer after West Virginia. He just is not learning fast enough that the majority of Americans know little about foreign policy to care. The Americans that are needed to put the Democrats in the White House are your meat and potato types. His lack of maturity by not being connected to the electorate is showing too clearly. One term Senator.

How can Obama even come within twenty points in West Virginia when he doesn´t even know how to drink a beer properly????

Richard your 100% correct about the summer gas tax freeze which not one candidate of the three could ever get approved this summer and it would not make a difference. It hurt her but showed a side of Obama that he had no other solution as to how to fix the common mans problems.

Americans will not build a new oil refinery in North Dakota that could take the heavy crude from the tar sands which is almost the same as Venezuela crude because that would be a socialist action. A new refinery would greatly cause the price of gasoline to drop at the pump and when they put their minds to it they could have it built very quickly.

Sometimes raising taxes seems like political suicide like putting tolls on roads in Toronto to maintain the network but.......it will work.

What they should do is investigate the Oil companies like they did with the Tobacco Industry and find out how much GM got to kill the Electric car.

Hillary tells the common man how she plans to do something regarding the economy and Barack claims he will change it....HOW?????????? Barack then says I will change it by ________________________________________.

The economy is the number one issue on every American families mind. They are the majority not the University educated white collar office worker. When a family can not put bread on the table or is having difficulty filling up the SUV gas tank to take their kids here or there the name "CLINTON" brings hope.

I´M JUST A COAL MINERS DAUGHTER.

Richard----------Final knock out blow coming in two weeks.

COUNT FLORIDA AND MICHIGAN OR BETTER YET HOW CAN ONE BE ELECTED BY 48 STATES ONLY?

Another great night for Obama, as expected, particularly with Clinton´s sorry numbers in Indiana (this morning she´s up 51-49% with 99% of the votes in, not quite the huge blowout she was expecting). Sorry I wasn´t here last night for the conversation. His speech in North Carolina was outstanding.

Roy: As I try to objectively read your posts on this race, I just can´t understand why you like Clinton so much. If you really listen to her words, she´s not much different than Bush. She doesn´t care what the experts say (see her ridiculous gas tax idea, which not a single economist thinks is a good idea), she´s already making plans for another war (with Iran), and she´s not afraid to lie, cheat, and steal her way to the White House. Let us not forget she is a Clinton through and through.

Michigan and Florida cannot be counted, especially as the results were tallied months ago. Both Obama and Clinton signed agreements that the states would not count, and Obama wasn´t even on the ballot in one state. It is not surprising she would want to go back on her word, but those were the decisions of the two state´s governors, and she agreed to it.

The superdelegates need to cast their votes and end this divisiveness. There is a real sense that many of these superdelegates owe the Clintons for this, that and the other over the years (the Clinton Machine is quite real and powerful) and I´m sure it takes a lot of nerve to break from their stronghold. However, Clinton doesn´t stand much of a chance (and hasn´t for quite awhile) and is only serving to weaken the Democratic party. Right now, the Republicans must be getting a good laugh.

I hope that the American people aren´t as stupid as you think they are, Roy. Hillary has shown her true colors, and if she manages to somehow gain the nomination, she won´t be getting my vote in November. I´ll be packing my bags and heading to Canada! :)

BTW: no voter fraud in Indiana. Lake County has a history of late tallying, quite different from the true fraud I´ve seen in the state I live in.

DC were are your stats I miss that part of you.

Come on DC I admitted the gas tax was silly pandering!

Does Obama say that when a country (Iran) attacks an American ally like Israel he will sit down and talk to them or he will retaliate? Hillary was talking about retaliating!

Is this your red phone moment DC?

Obama is a politician and you think he does not embellish the truth DC come on he is a politician!!! WOW what were you into last night DC?? Obama says and does everything he says, LOL LOL LOL.

Obama´s voting record is totally opposite to what he says he stands for!!!!! That is voting statistics by an independent source I was sure you would post those stats but when they do not show a nice light on your Obama you forget the stats ---- come on DC stop changing colours!

YES lets not forget Hillary is a Clinton and lets not forget the US economy when the Clinton´s were in power or better the Canadian dollar being worth only 55 cents compared to the US dollar when a Clinton was in the White House. Is the Canadian dollar at par now?

What you and some others are missing is that the real villains are the republicans!!!! For democrats to win they need Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida and Michigan and most important were the average American lives. The Democrats need to put the candidate that has the greater chance of defeating the republican nominee John McCain and like it or not DC that is Hillary Clinton.

Now for my comment I never said Americans are stupid! I never said thousands voted for Mike Huckabee who congratulated Canadians on saving their National capital building which is an Igloo!!!! Do I have to post it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8tVbH5NfvQ

So your name (DC) Departed Canadian will be changed to FLIP FLOP or _______________ what when Hillary gets the nomination?

I rest my case DC got to go to the office. Have a great day!

That´s a lot of anger for so early in the morning Roy. Exactly why I usually don´t get involved in these "conversations".

By the way, I´m not DC. Different person altogether.

Chill.

Excuse me Roy, how did I enter into this conversation? Or am I missing something? My memory is not that bad.

I rarely take part in this Obama/Hilary debacle.

Anyway, I never ever support the Fed Gas tax of idea; no matter who gives it. It would be just an eye wash with huge future price.
