Hi,
I live in Canada and i have sponsored my wife from Canada in Feb 2008, who lives back home in India. I have got the 1st stage approval from Canada and now the case has been sent to Canadian Embassy New Delhi, India for her PR Application.
Recently, my wife who lives in India got a letter from Canadian Embassy New delhi stating to submit her passport and/or if applicable the old passport and to fill a travel document form enclosed with this letter. She has never been abroad previously.
So, I just want to know what might be the possible reasons for demanding her passport by the Canadian Embassy, New Delhi. Is it for Visa purpose or some other reason. Her case processing for PR application started in the first week on April 2008 in New Delhi office.
