Subject: Skilled worker married to Canadian citizen |

Dear All,
I have a skilled worker visa application since July 2007 in Buffalo. Last week I got married to a Canadian citizen. My question is: what kind of documents do I need to send to the CIC to update my marital status so that I can guarantee the 10 Adaptability points from my wife. She completed 14 years of full-time studies and she works full-time in Canada for more than one year.
I really appreciate your help.
Thanks,
Joe

(in reply to: Skilled worker married to Canadian citizen) Spousal sponsorship is faster than skilled worker application. So you can totally change the course and ask your wife to submitt a spousal sponsorship, instead. If you want to go with skilled worker class, you may submitt the copy of marriage certificate, your wife´s proof of citizenship and other proofs of your marriage. Remember, if you would want to go for spousal sponsorship instead of skilled worker, you must do it with the consultation of some expert, like any lawyer or consultant because i have no idea how it would work. Good Luck!
