Subject: What happens after "Decision Made?"
I am a US citzen, I live on the BC coast and I have first stage approval for spounse sponsorship in Canada. After first stage approval was issued, I had to have a new physical and renew my passport, which I did, and I am now awaiting final approval. Will the next step be to appear in Vancouver to pick up my PR papers? If so, what can I expect at that meetin? Will my wife/sponsor be required to accompany me? What type of documentation will have to bring, if any? Or does the finalization process happen by mail? We have two Canadian citizen children. Thanks. . .

they may decide they want to interview you in advance of a decision - they will advise.

if not, they will advise you about your landing interview.
at that interview they will ask if any details have changed etc. It is generally very friendly unless they detect you are not what you say you are.

It is not mandatory that your sponsor attend, but I would suggest most people do because it is a big event and you may want to share the excitment. It will also assist in the verification that you are a bonafide couple.

I believe you will need to bring 2 new photos. No, landing does not happen by mail.

how long it will take - anyone´s guess.
