| Subject: Proove of driving experience |

I moved to Ontario from NY state. Problem is:
NY DMV drivers record does not give any date if driver´s experience is more then 9 years, but Ministry of Transportation, Ontario, would not use my 12 years of experience without any paper with date, and currently I have only 6 years which is what my NY driver license had as "issue date".
It really makes big difference in my insurance.

Ask for your driving record from the NY DMV.
All states have this online; you can request with payment and they´ll send you the record by mail.

I have called and received my drivers abstract from NY DMV. But It does not have my starting date. And NY DMV tells me that they do not have it in database.

That´s kind a weird.
Most likely you were issued DL 1st from another state then later transfered into NY. So, contact the DMV who issued you DL first in your life.
