I am in process of filing my case for Canadian immigration. My question is, I did my master?s in US and also worked on CPT. what kind a proof I need for my work experience. Just a letter from my employee and my pay stubs will be enough or I need any thing from school also.
Plz reply
Thanks

(in reply to: Plz reply...) Hello Sonia, I am not sure if you are trying to apply as a SK... if so... you will need to prove to CIC that you have at least one year work experience on whatever field you are claiming... to prove your work experience you must send:
-notarized employment contracts from your present and past employers, accompanied by an English or French translation
-Original and up-to-date letters of reference from your past and current employers. Letters must be written on company letterhead and show the company´s full address, telephone and fax numbers, and be stamped with the company´s official seal.
Letter must include all of the following information:
-the specific period of your employment with the company
- the positions you have held during the period of employment and the time spent in each position.
- your main responsibilities in each position
-your total annual salary plus benefits
-the signature of your immediate supervisor or the personnel officer or the company
- a business card of the persons signing
If you can not provide a reference from your current employer, provide a written explanation.
THE ABOVE MENTIONED INFORMATION WAS TAKEN FROM THE CIC SKILLED WORKER VISA OFFICE SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS BOOKLET FOR 2004-2005
With regards to your EDUCATION you will need to provide:
-post-secondary education documents: vocational or technical certificates or diplomas;
-college or university documents: certification of completion and the graduation degree, diploma or certificate issued by the college or university and the evaluation committee;
-Transcripts: original transcripts of all degrees must be submitted in university-sealed envelopes.
-Professional qualifications certificates: notarized professional qualification certificates (if available) eg.. engineer, computer programmeer, accountant, translator/interpreter, architect, doctors, nurse etc.
for more information about these or any important topic related to immigration you should read the information given by www.cic.gc.ca/
good luck
Lily
