Subject: Immigration Scam---CBC
When something looks and sounds to good to be true, RUN!

SCAMS COME IN ALL TYPES!

Recently on this forum we have someone posting about a great new web site were one can get FREE information and they ask for your contact information. It is a web site that has useful information but lacks details. Why?

They have posted answers on Canada City that are incorrect but never even a phony name just anonymous???

What is there knowledge, who are they?

If the answers are FREE why do you have to give contact information? Why would the host of the web site not say who they are?

BE WARNED!!!!!!

Last evening on CBC The National (on the Border) there was a story about Mexicans being ripped off for filing a refugee claims in Toronto.

Most people would think that a Refugee would file their refugee claim at the airport or border crossing but that is not necessarily so. Partly due to the safe third country rule.

In the Toronto area GTA people enter Canada hide their passport and then go to Etobicoke Immigration Office to file an In-Land Refugee Claim. They submit some identity card instead of the passport to establish their identity and nationailty.

There is a guy referred to as "DANTE" who I have heard of that goes into the room where everyone is waiting to file a refugee claimant after they have entered Canada.

The story goes that this guy "DANTE" then approaches Mexican potential claimants and offers his service for $500.00 with another $1,000.00 to follow next week just for filing a refugee claim which there is no fee for.

Then "DANTE" then takes the claimant to a Lawyer who will represent them, gets the claimant welfare and legal aid so the lawyer gets $1,867.00 to represent the Mexican claimant before the IRB.

Certain Lawyers would of course give referral fees to a person who regularly brings them clients. PLEASE some one find the video of this story and post it on this forum so others can learn from this.

DANTE is referred in the story as a Consultant implying he is an Immigration Consultant but he is not! Nothing more then a sneaky opportunist.

They interview the Lawyer and the look on his face when he hears that "DANTE" is making $1,500.00 for each refugee claimant is classic. Previously there was a story in the Toronto Star about the same type of situation of so called Consultants recommending bogus refugee claims and how the applicant will get welfare and all will be paid for.

This type of thing goes from one ethnic community to another, year after year.

Remember in big cities there are just not that many good Samaritans.

SOMEONE FIND THAT CBC STORY AND POST IT PLEASE.

Autorized Representatives would not charge for submitting an application for a work permit or extending their clients status in Canada. They would also not go and sit for hours for two days straight while you make a refugee claim either. They would send their employee only if necessary.

Thanks for the information, Roy. You are great and doing a great job on this forum to expose such scams. I have received a stupid comment from this scam on my post as well, but i gnored him because fortunately i have little bit knowledge about the process. Thanks for helping the people on this forum.

Hi All,

My name is Daria. We just recently began the website that Roy refers to as a scam . My website is www.whatnextcanada.com and I am not a scam. It is not a must for one to use the site.
I work as a volunteer with a n-f-p organization that deals with i&s issues.

I am still trying to build information on the website which I believe will offer great information later.. that will eventually turn into a consultancy business for me. The contact us form is a form that you can send your comments on how I can improve my website or if there are errors that you can send your complaints.

I just thought that this was a forum that I could start introducing the website in order to build my clientele.

So before you throw another stone, go through my site and let me know what I am doing wrong.

Thank you

Daria

Like I said when I posted in the other response you were trying to create a client base for future Immigration Consulting business.

You were advertising! In Toronto there is a company called Choices who charged a whole bunch of people $50.00 to get on the amnesty list. THERE WAS AND IS NO AMNESTY LIST. They wanted to compile the information so they could contact the people in future. This is unethical.

I did like your web site!!!!

Wish I had the time to put together one as well as yours. You need to go back to school because regarding Mike´s father just because he submitted a H&C application entitles the father to no work permit until stage one approved.

Do you really want to be a Immigration Consultant and pay the huge costs associated with that? I hope you got deep pockets. Unless your doing In - Land Immigration I see no logical reason for joining CSIC. Everything in the future will be work permits.

Have you read the In - Land Processing Manual IP9 Chapter Two regarding CIC/IRB/IAD/CBSA interpretation of IRPA 13.1 (1)?

Thanks Roy.
....I read the IRP Act in school.....but again I need to do alot more reading I guess. But do you ever wonder about some cases that have been determined by the IO? It leaves one to wonder if the IO read the IRPA or just based the ddecision on mood of the day??lol
I think for now, I will continue to build more pages for my site...
Till then...keep an eye for the growing list of useful links under my immigration page.....

Here i agree with you Daria that it all depends upon their mood but there are certain things where mood does not matter. For example if you move to Canada a year ago on PR visa you can not apply for citizenship until you spend 2 more years, so here mood does not matter. It may be a factor in saying yes or no only when the application is submitted for the right thing.

Roy´s webpage kinda sucks but Daria´s, while having spelling linguistic errors, has better looks and more pleasant to read. Do you people think you will have much work left now that the government is making fast changes to the whole process? Or at least it looks like they are trying to make changes, giving more flexibility and power to CIC.

Dear Daria

I have never updated my web site since it was created and thanks to Bally aka Deportee, Elvii etc. etc. I agree it is lacking an overhaul.

I am in the process of changing my web site this weekend to what my main business relates to! I saw this site and others http://www.canadaimmigrationbpa.com/aboutus.html and knew I could do better.

I respected your site Daria and if I get your permission I might use some examples that you have on your site very informative.

Also Daria if you want to attend some appeals to better understand that process feel free to get in touch with me.
