Wat is the normal waiting period to get bak the passports from CIC, once all the required documents have been submitted. Now its been almost 2 weeks since we sent the passports. We are getting a bit worried, as to wat is holding them back. i have heard that it normally time taken is arnd 3 to 4 working days. how true is that. pls can some1 uprise me on this. thanks

How did you send the passports to them? Did you include pre-paid envelope with a tracking no? 2 weeks is not an abnormal wait time, you might receive your passports any day. You can check it through the tracking no.as well, or write an e-mail to embassy or call them. I would suggest to wait a little more before contacting the embassy. I do not know which visa post are you talking about, it would be much easier to advise when you provide detailed information.

It can take up to 8 weeks sometimes depends on the embassy too.

Thanks for the replies. v r going thru new delhi (india) embassy. and i dont know abt the tracking number u r talking abt. v sent the passports thru blue dart courier and the agent never upraised us on the pre-paid envelope. are v in a soup now. can v write to them that the courier or the deliver amount would be paid at our end when v receive the packet. pls advise.
