Congratulations in advance on the Blackhawks win tonight, Richard! Since we badly need to get ahead of you, we´re guaranteed to lose. I guess we´re both out of the playoff hunt at this point.

Are you watching the game? We´re getting the Chicago feed for some reason.

Ha! Headline: "Blackhawks thrash Blue Jackets, stop four-game slide". Just heard the news (local TV broadcast blacked out). Blackhawks by 6-3! Sorry wannabe. For an expansion team, you guys deserve a chance at the playoffs too. It´s not clear if opportunity is still there.

One thing for certain, we have to stop those Canadian teams. Edmonton was tied with both of us, and Vancouver is up a few notches. Can´t let any of those Canucks get the cup (hope Sharon and Roy are listening)!

agggh Vancouver is in the toilet. They always fall apart about this time in the season. It´s as if we have a persecution complex or something.

Oh yeah, what a great win for you! Honestly I´m surprised we managed 3 goals at all. Someday we´ll make it to the playoffs, maybe. One has to keep the hope (for another year, anyway). Are you out of the hunt too, or is there hope this season?

When I was living in my small town in Canada, I often saw little girls seemingly no older than 5 or 6 years wearing the full hockey outfit, pads, helmet, and with sticks determinedly headed for the ice rink. The area there was where some of the hockey greats came from, i.e., Phil and Tony Esposito (Blackhawk legends). The place lived and breathed hockey.

A hockey fan in the U.S. all my life, I´ve found nirvana. Looks like many of my immigrating colleagues here like the sport just as much. I can´t wait to see Don Cherry on TV again.

My 5 year old already plays; he´s been ice skating since he turned 2, and had plans to be a hockey player practically since he learned to talk. Seems Canadian culture is in his blood! :)

Can you order the Center Ice package? We order it every year and get most of the games plus HNIC. It´s expensive, but for an American hockey fan, well worth it.

Your 5 year old will fit right in, no adaptation needed!

Didn´t know about Center Ice package with HNIC. Will look into to get the Canadian flavor, view, and excitement often missing on American broadcasts. I get the feeling down here that hockey´s seen as interesting enough, but ultimately it´s not patriotic apple pie baseball or football. Seems to have been on the wane over the past few decades, unfortunately.
