I was so touched by your "congrats" post that I have printed them out and I think I will keep them forever with me in a memory of this once-in-a lifetime event.

So let me thank you all for your wishes and comments

Sharon

thanks for your comment, when you say Canada is lucky to have you, it feels great!! I wish many more happy families will go through this soon! We haven´t decided completely our destination though it is likely to be Calgary.

Roy

Thanks for the advice. Do I need sunblock for Alberta ?? :)
Wherever we eventually end up it will be good, I just know it. No matter what happens, we will make it happen for good. And I plan to keep updated unlike most of people so then after-landing experience should be known. Anyway I´ll do my best

wannabecanadian

thanks for your post. We will land end of April or May, we are not sure yet, the sooner the better for me, you should hear from me afterwards :)

Departed_Canadian

hey "pocket guide" I am glad you replied to me I was afraid you quit this forum. Yes I cannot stop smiling these days.
By the way I did not get the job in London, ON so we may go to Calgary (I am waiting for answer that should come at the time we get passport back) but it is not 100% fixed yet. We´ll keep you updated

Richard

Thanks for your comment. You have been through this before so you know the feeling. If we move to Canada before you, we´ll let you know which places and how it went. Have you decided where you will go ?

Raj

Thanks. I will keep everyone posted, at least that is the plan. I hope to stick to it.

Praveen

Thanks! Good you remember me. So what about YOUR experience so far ?

Bill

Thanks. We are thinking of Alberta, probably Calgary. I have applied for a job there so I am waiting to see if they call me for an interview. I have also applied for a job in Ottawa so I am waiting for that too. If I get an interview there I will do the landing there at the same time, if not .... well I keep Alberta in my mind :)

Mike

Thanks. It will be so good to be there. I can already feel the good vibes from the North.

Lily

Thank you so much for your wishes. I plan to keep in touch, once we decide where to move I will let everyone know then I plan to share the experience then the "new immigrant life" experience as it seems to be missing in this forum. Let´s see if I can stick to this plan.

To everyone else

I took 7 months from the time I did Medicals to PPR. So for those who are still waiting, remember you are not the only ones and when your time comes, you know your life will change forever and that feeling is much stronger when you waited longer. Good luck to all!

CBV333,

You will need a lot of sunblock in Alberta, our summers here are quite HOT as you won´t believe it. It is true that our winters suck, however our summers are very very very pretty.

Calgary is a very nice and clean city and its weather is very different than Edmonton or Fort McMurray.

I really wish you well, regardless where you go. This is a great country what what makes it even better is its people.

Welcome to the Great White North.

Hi CBV

Have always remembered you and was visiting this forum regularly just to hear from you about the PPR update.

I have been in Canada for 4 years on a Work Permit and left to US in August 2007. I landed as a PR in November 2007 and now based out of London Ontario.

Congrats once again and do keep in touch. Let me know if you need any other help I can do.

Praveen

CBV,

I could say something like head up and continue job search..though I know for you it is not needed. So, forget about the London one and move on..

In worse case if needed then let me know as I told before, I may try something.

CBV333... thank you for your personalized thank you... it was really nice of you... I got watery eyes while reading your post...

It is funny how one wishes the best to other people you have never met ... and mean it, because we all wish one day to be in the same spot and hope one day to be the one writing the thank you posts...

Enjoy Canada... good luck with the job search! I look forward to hearing from you in the future.
