you will be pleased to know that the church has approved the sponsorship of the family from Burma. As you know this is the easy part but without your kind advice, I think they would be still sorting out the information.
I wanted to publicly thank you here, In this situation, your assistance was free, and it is greatly appreciated.
I found it a little amusing to hear my Mother explain the meeting to me. All the things they will need, all the problems they will face and how 90% of the people in the room were first generation immigrants and there was no possible way that anyone could say no. the clincher was the 30-something year old woman who spoke between a flood of tears about a Canadian helping her family come to Canada in the 1990´s from South America and how it changed her life.
Now it is hard to say who might be more excited - the refugee family or the group that will help them get here. Let´s hope the rest goes well.
